I read somewhere that 1955-1965 cars were stronger AND lighter in 4 door variants than in their 2 door variants.
This goes agaisnt my common sense, except that maybe the B-Pillar increases strength. However, the cars I'm looking at Dodge Dart and Plymouth Fury, seem to have tiny B-pillars in most of the 4 door pics I can find.
Are there three different hardtop styles for these cars(2 door, 4 door, 4 door post)?
Does anyone have any real info on the weights/strengths of these cars in different trims?
