Shows the extent of the stupidity of wheel size these days. I remember when 16" wheels were only for trucks. :lol: Must be a pretty rough ride. :p

The thing I find the dumbest about it, from a performance standpoint, low profile tires have less roll in the sidewall which improves the handling, but in order to get those things under the vehicle they had to put a lift in it, so it pretty much negates the benefit of having a big wheel. Ah well, as Hellsbelle said, they've got more money than brains.

I've never understood why big rims apparently look good. Keep it to some 15 or 16" alloys with some 265 50 rubber and I think that looks great.

that caprice looked dumb, low profile rims serve a purpose for handling, they ahve stiffer sidewalls therefore the dires dont lean over so much in curves, but when you put them on 9 foot tall rims that kinda eliminates the purpose, basically all i have to say about that, as for the vid of the general lee getting destroyed, that is enough to piss off the pope, PEOPLE, if you are jsut trying to get rid of your classic muscle like that to make room in your garage, dont destroy it :( send it to me and i will be sure to accomodate it nicely :D

I pulled into a place that I shunt trailers to and from...and noticed this lexus SUV with these HUGE rims and band-aid tires. just for shits and giggles I read the size of the guys tires; 22 inch rims...my Pete has 22.5 inch rubber on my Alcoa's...LOL
