Guys I'm very very sorry. I just deleted a thread on accident with some really good well thought out posts. I was replying with an outline of our budget and how much it will cost us to run a server each month along with an out line of what it will cost to produce MWO from start to finish and accidentally posted it twice, went to delete the double post and took down the whole thread.... very sorry guys. on another note, I don't suppose you have even the slightest estimate of when we could expect a beta release? I know you probably don't like to say anything specific so as to avoid disappointment if it doesn't happen, but just curious :)

If we had our budget all put together I could say this title could be out with in the next year and a half, beta in a year, then additional 6 months of testing/bug fixing. But we don't have our budget.... so its just going by ear for now. Right now everyone is hard at work at the artwork. The 1932-1974 parts database is 100% done, we have a handful of cars, and two tracks almost complete so we just have to keep our fingers crossed for the future!

I don't care, I will pay for it each month, I miss this type of game, there are none like it and I thank Ken and the rest of the team for trying to make it happen, guys it's not like they are EA and have a larger then life cash cow to go on, so I would be more then happy to pay each month. On a sidenote, as big as EA is, they could have made MCO work. It's like they wanted it to fall in the end just so they could fit more time in for sims.

Everyone's being so patient and all I can tell you about what the guys are doing is "It's pretty freakin' hot!" The devs are busy! It's going to be worth the wait. ;)

Hey, how about the " mall " idea like another game some of us waste time on.
I know I play the RPG game that company offers. and i have to say, when i have the money, i pay more than my "10-15" a month on it.
Its a great idea to get those that can spen, to spend, and those that cant, still get to play.
Rare, and some not so rare items, or paints,cars whatever, can be found in the cash only mall.. and most.. if not all, able to be sold in the game once bought. (some of course, shouldnt be able to be sold ingame after bought). Im sure this other company makes more than the average $15 usd per player from that cash mall they have.
The one part about their mall i dont like, is the parts that help u progress thru the game "levels" faster. I dont think it should give an advantage to the game for being able to spend cash on it, just make u look, and maybe sound better than the average car.
Like ultra rare wheels, custom blower intakes.. hood molds, body kits .. and the like
Maybe even have a "PvP" high stakes mode.. alls fair type thing, and sell " oil slick", "smoke screen".. and "can of nails".. (only usable in the 'PvP" theater)

The only way I would find this fair would be if u could buy items that don't affect performance. You could buy cars with money but only cars available to everyone. This would be really helpful to you guys who have to take time off to make this and maybe you could use it to pay for the servers and stuff. I wouldn't use it personally but it would help keep costs down. This is your guys' creation though and I'm sure no matter what you all do all of us will appreciate it too much for words.

yea, nismo,
mothing that has effect on proformance, unless it can be sold in game for game gold, then everyone has a chance to have it, even if for a conversion cost, but for items that couldnt be resold in game, they would only be for show type stuff...(limited edition skins, hint hint)
