Strange Ideas For Motor World

Ok, we got some really great ideas in the main forum but some of 'em? Kinda lame. So I thought I'd make a fun thread over here at Carbody's where we can explore some of the more outlandish or creative ideas we might dream of but not really expect Ken to indulge us in.
For example:
* rest area's so when you have to whiz in free roam mode, you can park your car.
*make-up mirror on the visor
* a little ball hanging in your garage so when you pull in you know where to stop.
*bars. those of legal age could enter a "bar" and have "drinks". Your driving ability goes down with each drink. You can then only enter in races with other such handicapped drivers and have at each other.
so... have fun!

It´s a cool idea to have somewhere to say any kind of stuff that goes on the head, even if it´s crazy it might be the base of a totally new and great idea.

Rich guys who sell stuff at high profits pay a fat luxury tax which goes into a welfare system. Poor players could apply for assistance, and interview with a welfare councellor to get their welfare check. Players who make too much $ would be denied of course.

OK I think I found the perfect race game for the guys that would see us dummy down Motor World. It's called Superpets Racing and all the cars run exactly alike and you click your mouse to make them jump oil slicks, nails, and when you hit the pink patch you can click and your car gets a power boost. It is very mind numbing and everyone can get the same special paint & other same aftermarket effects. No rares and no one player has any advantage over another player except meybe being quick to clik that mouse. In fact, when you race your friends, your friend is not even in control of his car, the ai is!
I've included a picture so you can see the excellent quality of cars and tracks, and of course you can choose what type of animal you want for your avatar and dress him in all kinds of cool bling.

That was my speciality at hazard hollow, at night backwards. I would jump to the lead and turn off my lights. I didnt lose too many races that way. :D Driving by the moonlight is a blast. ;)

I'm sorry you misunderstand I've done this in a '68 Impala in the state forest south of Syracuse trying to get it home and um shall we say trying very fast to avoid at least three or 4 tickets. How about a roadhead mini-game where you leave the bar with a drunk woman which you thought was at least an 8 (In reality, you're blood alcohol level is .28) and it turns into a dashboard view of your car. All you see is just the top 1/3 of her head bouncing up and down while trying to make it home without smashing up into anything on the way there. Give it the drunk driving effects of GTA IV as well.

Have a truck w/ trailer or Semi to trailer your car(s) to the drag strip or wherever you're racing. Keeps the miles off the car, trailer queen 'em! ...ya right i'm driving my car there

ALSO when you hit the nitrous and over-use it, your manifold pressure builds up and for some random reason, your diamond plated floorboard falls off :)

Then the club will pick up a member to drive it.

Then once a month we could held a circuit event (like a GP) for the top 10 quilified Club cars. And we could have a live video feed brodcasted on internet so everyone can watch it.

-When you hit 88 in the Delorean you go back in time so you can make up for mistakes in races

Lot's of the car variables are persistent. So i guess yeah... we might have that in the game.

Haha, something along the lines of when you hit 88 it gives you the chance to rewind the current race right to the beginning, but then the DeLorean then won't start as all its power has been sucked up by going through time (like in the movie) :p....... unless you've got the one from back to the future part 2, hehe in which case you can restart the race as many times as you want and the car would still work.

Well the truth is... We can do pretty much anything we can imagine... in one or other way. Unfortunately there's allways the learning curve factor. If you have a huge learning curve new players relay on old players to teach em. People get's tired... they have enough concerns in real life to keep having them in a game.

It's very difficult to know where to point. It has good and bad things. With big learning curve you will have way less players but more commited. If the learning curve is too low players come and go. You get overpopulated. people gets bored on the long run.

This balance has been allways the key to succes in pretty much every game that has been made.

With time developers found a very effective solution to this: mods.
The ability to freely modify game contets have saved a lot of titles out there.
But this is a MMO game, so we don't have that easy way out.

Having the ability to run a car no matter whats missing. Missing pistons would ruin the block when you try to start it, no tires on wheels would destroy wheels and have no traction, etc.

Removal of all unnecessary parts including suspension and brakes and using the money from sold parts for a good engine is always fun. (if anyone has ever played the game Street Legal (not redline) you will know what i'm talking about)

Believe it or not, even Street Rod 1 and 2 both had Flat Tires. Of course, it took forever to get there. If you started a race with 99% worn tires, about halfway through the race your car would violently pull to the right and make you crash.
