So here it is , been waiting almost 2 years to buy one..
2008 Shelby Mustang GT Vista blue with silver stripes, 325hp , 330 torque. I wanted the 6 spd but got the automatic with 3:55 rear gears, also not very many made..2200 or so for the year and from shelby only 149 automatic coupes produced , not new but only 13k miles so its getting babied..

Thanks Man, I looked at buying the 2009 Dodge Challenger 38k, the 2010 Camaro 36k-42k or this 2008 Shelby, and well this was used and was the cheaper of the 3 so I bought it, and even with the automatic(5spd) and the 3:55 gears it still is a very nice ride, it screams Shelby race car when in the throttle lol, I will try an post some of the build sheet and Shelby adds on here later, I plan on having it for a long time..

I personally wouldn't have gone for that colour scheme, but it's still cooler than most Fords you get in the UK. Mondeo? Focus? Fiesta? All ****. Give us a Mustang, or a Fairlane, or even a Deuce Coupe!

Well the Shelby Gt only came in Vista blue with silver stripes for 2008, except for the California edition Shelby that was grabber orange with silver stripe I think, but pretty sure about the vista blue color in most of the country. The Shelby Gt500 was a different story , you could get several color choices. I like the 2007 black with silver, or the 2007 black with gold stripe Hertz car, very cool..

2008 Shelby Mustang GT was Vista Blue with Silver stripes, not to be confused with the 2008 Shelby GT500 Mustang , 2 different cars, completely different cars.
The second change for 2008 is the elimination of both Performance White and Black Ebony as exterior color choices - all 2008 Shelby GT models will be made in Vista Blue with Metallic Silver stripes.
here is a link to some specs on the 2008 Shelby Mustang GT

Dread sorry I didnt explain the silver with blue is the 2008 GT500 , they came with more exterior color choices and yea I really would like one of those to..
Think this is 2008 or 2009 not for sure, but it is a GT500

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought that the challenger had a lot worse handling than either the shelby or the camaro...

The Challengers are well known to handle like a cement truck... they are only good for going in a straight line drag race.

his exact words are , "I'll junk it out before i sell it to some dumb ass car collector who thinks its a great car "
i almost hit him - in his drive way is a MBZ (won't stay running due to electrical issues and a 5 series BMW POS thats in shop so often it has its own bay an lift he paid for)

Good for him for not piling up the miles on it! I knew a guy whose dad gave him his grandpa's 62 or 63 SS impala - 1 owner car with about 60k miles on it. Jeff, instead of storing it and forgetting about it for 20 years, like we ALL advised him to do, parked it in his new apartment parking lot planning on using it for his daily driver, not realizing it's value, being young and stupid...
it got stolen the 2nd day he had it.
Never got it back.
Rokket tell your buddy you know a chick who agrees he's got a junk car there, and is generously willing to take the problem stang off his hands and keep it away from stupid car collectors. Tell him I'll park it in a field next to an ancient GMC pickup and a combine and he'll never have to worry about it again.
(wink wink nod nod yeah - never worry about it again...)
