Jeremy Clarkson is a tremendously pigheaded individual. A car has to perform, feel, and look the way he wants it. Watching Clarkson on QI confirms my conclusion on Clarkson's attitudes and pigheadedness. The other guy (the short one -- don't remember his name as I've only seen it a couple times) is obviously there to attempt to bring balance to the show; although, car looks wise, they both seem to have similar likes/dislikes. There's a lot of bias on that show, and they shouldn't bother with the car looks for one. If it were up to me, I'd rate the Bugatti Veyron to be one of the most hideous, vomit inducing cars of all time; yet apparently, it's beautiful to others. That's a fine example of why looks really shouldn't play a part, because there is too much bias there no matter who you are.

The show is interesting, I think that the track is indeed a nice little benchmark of a cars handling.

Interestingly enough, I saw a bit of it today. He was looking at a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and Porsche GT2. He was apparently blown away by the LP560's acceleration. Either he's pretending to be amazed, or he truly is amazed by its performance. I would actually prefer it being the latter, since if the former is true, then the show has very little integrity if they are pretending to be enthusiastic about something.

I'm not saying that the car wouldn't be amazing to drive in, but I would expect that a car enthusiast who hosts a car enthusiast program would have driven in vehicles which run the quarter much faster than 11.2.

He speaks his mind and that is a good thing, but I cannot watch the show and believe anything that comes out of his mouth to be true. He obviously will always put a positive spin on anything he likes and a negative thing on something he doesn't like. That's not to say the show isn't funny, but the show is supposed to be about cars, and for that I don't think it is that great. It is somewhat funny, but, again, I can find something far more humourous than it.

I get more car entertainment reading about the performance of a car, an engine, etc, than hearing people prattle about their biases.

I love the one where they go to Miami and have to buy a used american car for under $1000. They get attacked in Georgia, it's great.

I couldn't find the one Kevman mentioned, but I am watching the Comic relief one. That moment in which the little guy tips over his excavator is hilarious.

well, i'd post a link to the one kevman mentioned, but there's a problem:

I'm pretty sure it's against forum rules, as the idiots that run the BBC iPlayer don't keep good stuff (Top Gear), or let you watch anything worth watching (Family Guy). So they level all the drivel and rubbish you get from the BBC on there instead.

And as for the newest episode:

Doesn't that mean that they should keep family guy on it?

Believe me, about the only things worth watching on the BBC are Family Guy, Dr. Who and Top Gear. Anything else that was worth watching (read: Red Dwarf) has since been purchased by this new channel called Dave.

If you've got even the faintest whiff of normality, british TV isn't for you. All it is is reality TV (rubbish), soccer (boring to me, and i'm british!), and homemade drivel (all the useless shows the bbc makes). You'd be better off just getting half a dozen random DVDs from blockbuster and watching those instead. They'll probably be better.

P.S Most of the UK still thinks Season 6 of Family Guy is the most modern series.

That can't be the BBC. The BBC doesn't do commercials. Ever. That's probably BBC Canada, of which the only good shows are top gear, and Little Britian.

The Canadian and American BBC don't just use the BBC shows. They mix in some stuff from ITV and Channel 4 as well.

American TV isn't any better. I'm sure the same is true for any country's television programming. I rarely watch TV and when I do it's almost certainly between channels 120-128 (all the discovery, science, etc type channels). When I watch "TV" it's on my computer or on a DVD, so it's what I like not the garbage they broadcast.

Anyway, I was just ripping on Family Guy's "writing" -- to each his own.

Or to put it simply, there's nothing worth watching ever since reality tv kicked in.
