View Full Version : Anyone have a chopper?

Im just about done building my latest one. Just a few little odds and ends to button up and the chopper will be done. Its an ironhead based bike, hard tail with jockey shift. The pipes will change, only on there to test it out once its complete.

Here is my little Honda Bobber I built a year or so ago. Its a 650 with suicide shift, hardtail as well. This is my town hot-rod.

I used to ride - had a 76 sporty then a 83 fxrs. neither was chopped but it sure was fun to cruise on them!
Nice job on your rides!

thanks. The chopper is a 74' XL sporty engine.. last year for the right hand shift (which is why Im doing jockey shift)

My 76 still had the backward linkage leftover from the right-shift days. I remember it used to cause some grief now and then...

Yeah, the 76's still had a few problems they didn't work out.. but the 75's were the ones that everyone hated. Those didn't work to well and would get slopped out.. then people would just convert back to the right side shift.
