Thanks guys! There's a bit of orange peel, and the shifter linkage is busted again.. All good though!

Ugh, orange peel. Makes doing anything besides gloss require perfection. Still looks really good though.

Didn't think you could buff out orange peel on metallic paint. Would ruin the even-ness of the metal flakes. Maybe I'm wrong though.

It's pepper grey metallic. Closer to the stock 08 Mustang grey. I hate that envoy..
Nice job Kevman! Mine is getting its new skin in a few weeks!

Hey Kevman I have a 95 Stang that I'm going to paint next year with a dark green metalic flake after I'm done with the engine mods should have 350 hp or so on the pavement it will be a blast to drive and look at when the paint is done.

You could do what i did on my mate's old mini cooper: get your can of paint, and put a few holes in some card/metal. Use the hole-ridden card/metal as a baffle, making the paint go randomly on the body, lessening the effect of the mis-aligned paint.

Nice work! I am jelous... yours is much further along than my own =P
My father left me an 88 firechicken. about... oh... 7 years ago I started a motor swap in it 2.8 -> 5.7 I am not anywhere near being done. Having a house and 3 kids eats all my free time lol
Its currently bright fire engine red, no rust. I have the ground effects and hood and in the end I hope it looks like:

good work the bird looks great! where you able to buff out the orange peel if not you might need to wet sand with 1000 1500 then 2000 grit just watch the edges. it takes along time and is alot of work but really gives you that perfect smooth as glass finish.
