Hey gang, I went to the auto show this past weekend and I must say it is one of the better ones I have been to in a while. Yea they had greenie cars there, but there were plenty of high performance cars there to sit in. On the GM side of things Caddy has a super car in that 556HP Caddy. My brother is reconsidering his plan to buy a Vette after sitting in the Caddy. Cadillac looks good. Pontiac, my favorite brand is hanging on, nothing great to note other than the G8 and a hardtop Solstice. Buick, same thing, hanging on. Chevy, there was a huge line to sit in the Camaro SS that they had there so I sat in the regular one, and I hate to say I was disappointed in the Camaro. I am only 5'9" and I was hitting my head against the roof. The car had a sunroof in it, but still I should not be hitting my head. Also the dash layout and interior were not impressive. Maybe they are better on the SS, but the base one sucked.

I did like the Bullet Mustang they had there. This car would have been my runner up. The 2010 Mustangs were present but you could not sit in them. My No.1 car that I would have bought if I had 33K laying around would have been the Dodge Challenger R/T. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/14/detroit-2009-dodge-challenger-r-t-accessorized-by-mopar/
It was by far the nicest that I sat in. You cannot see in the pics but it has a Hurst 6-speed stick with a old style white ball shifter. I was impressed with the interior in this car too. Last year at the auto show, I remember the Chrysler products as having the worst dash layouts and interiors, 300M is still a good example. They got it right on the Challenger, and although I am not a Mopar man, I can see myself becoming one for this car.

I will can post some pics if you would like me too.

I did not attend the Auto Show in Detroit but I heard it was not that good compaired to past years. The ecomeny has put a damper on quite a few things.
