Seems some folks don't get the idea of what I'm asking for in the car model request thread. I'm moving non-pertinent posts to this thread and answering/commenting on what's missing. If your post gets edited to the point where it becomes once again pertinent to the car model request thread I'll move it back over there.
Sorry to those who's posts I deleted before I had this brainstorm... :o

needs a picture in the post, and honestly, better pictures of 59 cadillacs. The link does provide enough spec info though. I suggest creating a photo album of 59 caddy pictures and posting the link to your photo album.

Thanks Willy, doesn't really help us out much since the guys have specs they have to create their images within.

This is a good place for Cadi specs and pics (I'd opt for the '59- Elvis style). Kinda opens up the possibility of Slo Touring at some point, heh

Hey Zer, if you are a fan of the colonade body style like the 73 GTO, I would recommend the 77 Lemans Can Am. They only made 1,377 of those before the spoiler mold broke. They were to build 5,000 units, but GM did not like the idea of having the cars built and having the spoilers put on at the dealerships. It is guessed that only about 200 still exist today. By the way the 73 GTO never got the Super Duty engine(290HP), only the 73-74 Firebirds. A 73 SD GTO was released to CARS magazine for testing and they prematurely named it their car of the year. This caused a lot of embarassment for the editors at CARS magazine as Pontiac never released it for production.
One other Pontiac tidbit. The hardtop had an OHC 6-cyl engine, it has a big hump on the front of the hood to clear the OHC. The roadster has a 326HO that makes about 280HP. I have seen an article where it was supposed to have a 421HO, but I have seen articles from reputable Pontiac people that say it was a 326HO. That is the engine it would have received if produced.
How about some big cars:
Pontiac 2+2's, and Catalina's
Chevy Impala SS's
Buick Wildcats
Ford Galaxies
Plymouth Fury's
Mercury Marauders

Hmm.... Well, I like the 51 mercs, but I prefer the 1949. I have a ton of pics, and can easily compile a long list of specs.
P.S. I am a HUGE 49 merc fan... My e-mail is merc49man at yahoo as well as my EA account was merc49runner for MCO, not to mention my myspace. BTW I have had my e-mail account for over 17 years!:D

hey Mobius, there's a guy here in Cold Lake that has a '69 Eliminator w/302 that's part of a collection. he also has a couple 302 Bosses and a 429 Boss (him and his son just got finished doing a resto on that one). I loved the eliminators too. they were special because Mercury NEVER made muscle cars...:)

Any El Camino's in the plans?
I'm open to all years but I personally own a 1974 SS El Camino
I've got the factory docs from GM with specs I can provide if its selected.

Hey kevmeister,
I must admit, I'm not really an expert on muscle cars. The way by which I became a Cougar fan is because I collect Hot Wheels(mostly classic and muscle car replicas) and when I came across a '68 Cougar I was intrigued because I had never heard of them before. So when I saw the thread for model ideas I thought it would be fun to resaerch the Cougar for submission. I have always wanted to own a muscle car and probably will one day but my first love is racing anything I can get behind the wheel of(so far just digital cars lol).
BTW - I think I recognize your name, I was Knobhead on CCA in MCO(Dumb name I know, but by the time I realized I wanted to change it I was too far into the game...)

general rule of thumb for a muscle car: if yer lookin for a stock job rated at about a number 3 (3=needs work, 2=good condition and showable, 1=cherry condition, all original)10,000-20,000. number 1's usually go for about 45,000+. 20,000-30,000 will usually get you a reasonably solid investment. the most wacked out number I heard about was an all original, non restored number 1 Hemi-Cuda Ragtop for about 1 mil. a lot of people will pick up old muscle cars, do a resto and then flip them (turn them over for sale quick) but you really have to do your homework so you don't get burned. case in point: someone picked up a 69 judge, put 60,000+ into it and found out that it was only worth high 50's on the market. those guys that buy cars from Barrett-Jackson are only "renting" the car for a year, then they sell it next year and get their money back out of it and move onto the next one. I could never do that: I figure if you own it, why not keep it...:)

Bluepits re-read the original post in the car model thread and follow the guidelines. You didn't even post what year this truck is.

Howdy! New member here!
Would love to see some more AMC representation! AMO had the AMX, but it would thrill me (and countless others) to no end to see:
'72 Gremlin X V8
'71 Hornet SC/360
'70 Rebel Machine
'70 AMX
'70 Javelin
'69 AMX
'69 SC/Rambler
And better yet:
'71-'74 "Humpster" AMX's & Javelins
'73 Hornet hatchback
Unfortunately, I have no modelling experience or expertise :(
Does anybody remember the old game Street Rod or Street Rod II ? Man, I STILL play those games often. Those would also be a great reference for cars!
Here's a couple more that would be great on the list:
'69 Shelby GT 500 (King of the Road, baby!)
'68 Corvette
'66 Mustang 2+2
'68 Firebird
'70 Firebird ;)
'70 Chevelle
'69 or '70 GTO "Judge'
'55/'56/'57 Chevy Bel Air
'58 Chevy Impala
'62 Chevy Bel Air 409 Bubbletop
'69 SuperBee or Roadrunner (with the A12 Six-Pack Hood!)
Or How about Corvairs? The Turbo Corvairs were pretty slick back in the day!
Quick question though. Is this game planned to be a "back in the day" scenario like the Street Rod Games or is it just a modern-time free for all?

59 Chevy Impala
64 Chevy Impala
65 Mustang
66 Pontiac GTO
67 Chevy Chevelle
67 Chevy Camaro SS
69 Ford Torino GT
69 Dodge Charger - best looking of the charger models imo (general lee was a 69)
69 Pontiac GTO Judge
69 Nova SS
70 Plymouth Cuda
70 Chevelle SS
70 Ford Boss 302 Mustang and Mach 1
71 Plymouth Duster
71 Pontiac Firebird T/A
Would def be nice to see some of the more popular ones out of that list in the game. I don't know how many if any of these are being covered yet, but in case anyone has an interest in them you can start working on them and put them in the other post with the required info/pics. I will get started on some as time permits.
Nice site and can't wait to see the finished product. I was cleaning out my gaming cabinet and ran across my old beta disk from May 01, that's what sparked my reminiscing and led me here hehe. Anyone remember the auctions that were in it...
Classic Chrysler
All Factory Ford
Fat Fender Freddy's
Cool Cat Wheels
Muscle Mike's
Righteous Rides
Player Hosted Auctions
Anyways, good luck and like I said, I'll get some info on some of these with pics posted soon if it's not too late.
