you can change cams, heads, intakes, pistons, you basicly build the engine your self and at the web site you could download cars, engines, and all kinds of things. It will definetly keep a MCO fan buisy for awhile. It's almost like street rod 3 if you've played that but way newer and better.

Dude, that site is the most confusing, unorganized place I have ever seen. I was interested in this until I couldn't find anything at all as far as a newbie area and what exactly you're supposed to do to get rolling, and for what game. lol.

The game is called Street Legal Racing Redline (as I said in my post) If you go to the site at the top of the screen there is a button called forums (click on it with your mouse) Look for a forum called F.A.Q ( frequently asked question's) You will find the answer for every question as I did. After reading I was able to download cars, engine's and othere parts with the step by step instuctions that came with every download. Most sites use the term F.A.Q. cause newbie is slang.

Where they show a honda civic getting a new life, Than they take it out drag racing. This is street legal racing redline. If you get the 2.3.0.le update patch then the game seem's totally different with different menu's catalog's garages.

I've been playing this game since '07 and I can safely say it is my current favorite car game, here is my 55 Bel Air completely gutted and blown running a 5.3 1/4 somehow.

I got the demo from trygames The games well worth the 20 bux, but I read somewhere that the updates won't work with the trygames version. any other way to get it? legally would be fine, but if has to be a pirated version well ****, i need something to hold me over till MWO lol

I got the game and patched it...

Wow... it's not pretty. Sound is not that good at mixing (when me or someone else crashes, all other sounds disappear), and the only thing that crashes more than the game is me. Oh, and the learning curve is steep when one wrong turn to win a 100 dollar bet costs you 5,000 to repair it.

That said... I'm still trying to play it. I love that garage idea they got in the game, as well as the parts catalog. I just wish it was a lot easier to click on a freaking spring!

Currently looking into mods because... lets face it... driving a FF del sol look-a-like just aint doing it for me. But I'm glad I was told to look into this game. Will keep me occupied for a while.

I got everything I needed from your recommended site, yes. I had to download the 2.2.1 patch twice because it was corrupted the first time, but other than that it worked fine. I have noticed that having to register is a bit of a rip off because his "downloads" are just links to other places. If I knew what I was looking for in filefront, I prolly wouldn't have even signed up there.

As for the cheat... I don't do it in single player games til after I beat it... if then. If I have to cheat in a game to get ahead, I find it to be a severe problem with the gameplay.

It's Russian, but has English translations. You have to register.. it's quick though, put in the info and sign in. I downloaded the '70 Challenger and it works fine except for alot of gray parts.

I downloaded a car pack off a torrent (it appears to just be a huge collection from GOM, nothing special in the group) and I extracted them all to the correct place (folder and .pak file into the /cars/ folder), but it doesn't seem like any of them show up. I see the challenger when I go to the night drag races, but that's it. Any ideas? EDIT: Nevermind. I read a readme wrong. It goes into /cars/racers/, not just /cars/.

When the game runs, it's pretty fun... though the more I play it, the less impressed I am about the car parts database. Especially V-8's. You can't turbo a v-8, only supercharge it. You also can't do stuff like put higher compression heads or whatever. On top of that, they give you no specs about any of the parts you're buying, so you basically just buy the most expensive thing and hope it's the best. Still, even with that going for it, I managed to make a 1308hp V-8... 1/4 mile time of about 10.1 seconds.

No, you'll have to check the readme's. MF's cars are more often 2.2.1 than 2.3.0, but you can get the "Car Descriptor Detector" at Street Legal Mod's (link here (http://www.street-legal-mods.com/page.php?al=alias1211)) And you can get a lot of the 2.2.1 cars to work reasonably well. Of course, only add a few cars (no more than 3) at a time so that if the game crashes, you know which one it is easier. Make sure the game loads as well as you can go into the car exchange (I've had bad cars crash the game at both those places).

It has cars for 2.2.1, 2.3.0, and LE. If you get the Car Descriptor Detector from GOM all but the 2.2.1 cars will work perfectly, for the 2.2.1 you have to use B.O.R.A.T (also from GOM) to convert or some times parts will be missing or out of place. (usually exhaust pipes.)

GM V8's, more realistic than the original motors, sound better too. Have to register to download from them. There are quite a few muscle cars that you guys might want to check out too.

I tried to put a supercharger on a motown (I think thats what it was caused) 454 crate motor and it wouldn't attach the belts or pully, so I don't know if it COULD of been competitive. Maybe if there was a mod that downgraded the stock engines in the game so these would be in line with it it would be great. Don't get me wrong, the idea of the mod is awesome, and it looks good, but in terms fitting with gameplay... meh.

Yeah, I noticed lack of power too.. think I managed to get around 1400hp from the 427. Not that great compared to 1621hp from a built DHL stroker.

Other than that they're fun to play with, look better, and sound better.

There's a patch that fixes this, it also gets rid of the 500ci and places all the parts from the kits into the right categories. The hp numbers to actual performance still don't seem to come out right though.

I downloaded the game from "Vuze" thats where I get all my torrents from, I haven't payed for a game in years. I get all my movies from there to, for thoughs who can't find it. This is not legal though. Type "Vuze download" in your search bar and install it. It's kind of like limewire or bearshare. (If this subject is out of line I'll never say a word again)

Torrent's are not illegal. Programs used for downloading torrents are not illegal. It's like saying "Web Browsing is illegal" because you can use it to do illegal things.

What's illegal is downloading this game and movies with it. If you're expected to buy it, and you download it instead (by any means, torrents or not), it's illegal. But the BitTorrent protocol is NOT illegal. It's what you do with it that can be.

and FYI, Vuze is bloated and slow. I'd recommend uTorrent if you have any need for downloading torrents. I was thinking it'd be a good way to get the beta out myself, since it wouldn't bog down a central server (that may be used for the game as well). It relies on other people to host the file (to be "Seeds"), but it's a good way for those who can't donate to still help.

Also, hos1981, if you put your email address out in the open like that, Spambots will find it (they search the text of websites all over the internet for them) and you'll find yourself getting a lot more junk mail.

Unless the game is free AND specifically says in it's license or EULA you are allowed to distribute it, it is illegal. I'm sure I speak for the MWO moderators and developers when they say that discussion of illegal distribution of files is absolutely not tolerated here. You can not only get yourself in trouble, but you can get the people who run this site in trouble by doing this.

Again, remember that if something is free for you to download it doesn't mean you can freely distribute it as you please.
