Anyone playing either of these on PC? Both kinda have an MCO feel to them, and since I joined the MWO forums here.. Im jonesin really bad for some online racing action. I havent raced since MCO, and want to get back into it, especially since Logitech has that killer G25 wheel and pedals now. So if someone who has it on PC can pipe up, and let us know how they play, especially the online portion it would help. Thanks in advance.

I havent played either. Ive just looked at screenies of both, and really considering dropping $250 on a wheel and pedal setup... but dont want to if either of these games really arent worth the $50 a piece they are.
I always used a joystick with MCO, but its time to get serious now since I have a good gaming rig, and a connection comparible to a T1. Ive spent this much money so far, might as well spend a little more and make it good for everything from racing old cars, to killing peeps in COD4.

I got ProStreet, it's pretty good, I haven't tried much of the online yet. I like messing with the older muscle cars. I have a Wheel setup but have not had to use it.

the old muscle cars are dope...i have them all...it took me awhile to get them and tune all

So how does it control and feel? Do either games play and feel like MCO did, or have any of the same options? Like the drag racing, and street racing, or tracking racing online?

I rented prostreet for the PS3. The models, and tracks were nice and all, but the game felt like a broken record, every race felt the same.

Burnout Paradise is good for racing potential and stunts (they replaced "crash mode" with "stunts"). the DJ kinda gets hokey after a while. haven't tried the multiplayer yet but anybody that has recommends it. the cars are pretty and have full deformation, but typical arcade handling. tried the Prostreet demo and yeah, anybody that has the game says the races all look the same after a while. if you really want the game, just wait till it becomes a platinum hit and buy it cheap

I heard there are a lot of performance issues with the PC version still, and that they capped the FPS at 30!? (On Prostreet)

It looks pretty awesome though I have to admit, and from what I heard they've taken NFS from being a very arcadish style game into a much better sim style racer.

I dont think the parts customization is near as in depth as MCO was, but still not bad.

I've played TDU which was pretty good, just horribly supported, and the tuning was too simplistic for my tastes. Project Torque is also another one that shows promise, but it got really boring really fast for me.

I'm downloading Prostreet right now to try it out, and if I like it I'll shell out the bucks to buy it legit, gotta get a steering wheel setup again though. Back in the day with MCO I used the keyboard for the majority of my racing and did pretty good, I finally broke down and bought a nice Logitech wheel and then they announced the game was shutting down a month later :/

So far though no racing game I've tried (And I've tried pretty much everything) has been anywhere near what MCO was. Here's hoping MWO comes soon, and fills that void that was left when MCO was shut down.

Forza 2 fills the void man forza 2 does it well but not as much depth as MCO was.

but forza 2 does it, if it was for pc with a photoshop or Gimp mod I would definitely buy the game in a heartbeat

I loved the original Forza, in fact I bought an Xbox just to play it, just like I bought a ps2 just to play gran turismo 3 :P

Does Forza 2 still allow you to swap motors between cars? That was one of favorite features. I had a Boxster with a GT3 engine in it that was absolutely insane to drive.

The only issue I had with Forza was the sense of speed wasn't there. It said you were clipping along at 100mph and it felt like you were going 10mph.

Havnt played 2 yet so no idea if they improved that.

i have a lot of friends who play it, but they play it to paint cars because thats the main feature out of the whole game.

litterally, thats the big feature, the acing is realistic but nobody can drive.

look at this paintjob

it look likes mario practically down to the bone and no photoshop involved

Ha ha, that is a sweet paint job, I forgot all about the paint feature in it. I think the only paint jobs I ever did were insults towards my friends who played :P

My brother and I took a Ferrari 355 with the big spoiler and pianted a giant "**** U" on the both sides. Then we joined a 100 lap "drift" race and got a huge laugh out of everyone there.
