Flood this poll over on the EA message boards????

EA has recently put up another poll asking "What's your favorite NFS ever?", and they made the mistake again of including MCO in it as well! http://www.majicbus.org/phpBB3/images/smilies/033.gif

http://forums.ea.com/mboards/poll.jspa?pollID=409

So, let's all do our part and make MCO #1 again! Since they didn't learn that the last time!

I'll take a look, but we all know EA won't do what us old foggies want them to, we are not in their "Key demographic" They want to put out another MW, so they can watch the "polls" then say they gave the community what they wanted, even if it isn't what those outside that group voted for. :p

I am forgetting about MCO and focusing on MWO, I troll the MWO forum nearly every day LOL;) wish I knew some of that C++ code stuff to help out with making the game :banghead:, hopefully I can make a donation some time soon after I get settled into my new place.:trytofly:

EA is on my list as well but i still voted. i along with many others want EA to see how bad they screwed up.

i will play MWO instead of MCO (even if they brought it back out) due to EA being the jerks they are.

look at it this way MWO will have BETTER everything in comparison. why ??? becouse the people who are making this game for us fell in love with MCO as we did and they took it right out from under us. maybe they will see in due time that there is a loyal group that has had enough BS from them.

sorry just my .02 worth

and yes they do rock :musicus:

Just took the poll. Think we should always do this when one of these polls arise. To show EA we are still here and to have people who never heard of it research it to find out what an awesome experience it was an maybe end up here.

i voted too. now at 28% mco to 20% most wanted :) That combined with the horrible ratings undercover is getting may make EA step back and look at what racing fans really want out of a game

Just thinking out loud, here, but I'm not too sure this is a good idea. IF EA actually listens to its buyers, they just might come out with a revamped and improved version of MCO. Not that I don't like the idea, but with their $$$$$ and talent, they might kill MWO by releasing the "real thing" just before MWO goes gold. I don't want to see that happen. :playingball:

Only 128 people voted and from what I understand EA isn't investing as much money into there now failling NFS games. I herd there only going to make a NFS game every 2-3 years instead of 1 every year. But as far as I'm concerned there still on my boycott list. All they care about is money and if they did remake MCO it would probably be all about 22 inch rim's,low ridders, import's, and bling bling or whatever they call that sh**,
I also like MWO cause it's much smaller (for now anyways) I could actually talk to the Development team and voice my opinion. EA could really learn a thing or two from you guy's.

Gee, do ya think they even care why their precious NFS series is tanking? I think they have other moneymakers to focus on.

Even if Ea jump ahead and build a totally awesome, so freaking cool title with real cool classic american steel, loads of rust and everything we could ever ask.
I would provably keep working on our community game, you know, just in case.

it's been reported that EA is dropping the licsence (sp) for the NFS series.

i voted to let them know how much the game is missed and the screw up they made.

i'll stick to MWO plain and simple

Even if they did come out with an updated MCO, I wouldn't pay to play it again. I got burned along with everyone else on the first one, why pay them to do the same thing to us again? No matter what EA does, I'm behind MWO 100%

yah i mean the old MCO is dead becasue it is soo old that the physics and cars are not up to people "graphical prettyness" i like good graphics too or i wouldnt have an 8800gtx but i think they would have to do a remake of it with the current level of technology of today. I would still try MWO because they know what we want and are part of us no some cooperate slave that does wat they are told to do. MWO is bring out something the people want not what a big name gaming company wants. Thanks again mwo

big thing here is most people are hear for the gameplay/community. The graphics will be up to a certain spec but not as big of concern as the things mentioned above. Thats just my opinion.

I don't see how MCO could ever be brought back in anyway
shape or form by the new EA. If they didn't kill EA Seattle
& fire everyone that had anything to do with MCO.. then maybe
I think this is like a tease! and since they are giving talks about dropping
the need for speed franchise at the same time?

The graphics were really fun & top notch at the time of release.
It would be really nice to play it again just the way it was..
Give my old computers something to do besides collect dust! :trytofly:

Thanks everyone for helping EA throw the fact that they screwed up, back into their own face!
EA is closing their "Black box" studio, the creators of the NFS games...good riddance I say!

Anyhow, MCO is #1 but with a very funny result that I think you guys n gals should enjoy! :D

Their efforts to quell community involvement rather than embrace and encourage it was a lesson not lost on us. We're here because you are!

I would not be afraid of them releasing a muscle car game. I mean who actually has done that recently? Most people seem to feel that the game will not survive or thrive unless it is about imports with a small smattering of old muscle cars. Maybe you guys developing this game can show them the way.

Ayce
12-26-2008, 03:05 AM
The only problem, 421HO, is that they DON'T want the games today to survive more that one or two replays, and forget about thriving in a community.
They want the kids with the $$ to play a game once, then toss it in the dustbin for the next "Eye candy filled (insert game type here) $40 - $50 game".
This game will survive and thrive for two reasons.
1: We're not in it for a profit, so no suits breathing down our backs saying "we have to get it out asap, and make it pretty, nevermind the game play".
2: We have the racing community, (mainly old MCO players and a few oddballs (like me)) behind us. To heck with "investors", we have "Donators" who are not looking for a $$ return for their "investment" just a whole lot of fun. Luckily, they're a patient bunch.

I've read a lot of posts here, and on other forums, saying that some racing games that have imports and muscle cars, are biased toward rice, so much so, that they give the imports a bigger advantage in a race. I noticed that in Carbon. You put a muscle car in a race with imports, no nos, and the 4 cyl. cars, will outrun a v8 in a straight line. Huh?
Of course Carbon is not a good example, due to the "rubberband effect" But I have seen it in some other games of that type. Can't name a specific one off the bat, though.

I remember playing final fantasy and phantasy star for month's and month's at a time. FF7 was great, it was like reading a novel and took month's to beat. I remember when I first got it, I played for 36 hour's strait without a break and I was still on the 1st CD (I was only 15yo then) I just rent games now cause I can beat them or I'm bord of them in 3 day's. We should go over to EA and start a thread on there forum about that!! I bet the thread would be deleted in less than 3 hour's.
What's happening right now at MWO is ground breaking. People will be playing this game 20 year's from now It's going to be a classic like Pacman or Donkey Kong. It's a hard long processes still as technology advances alot more people will be making there own games without big company's like EA.
