Ok, i got a good one for ya.
I opted to help with options for music for my new found passion MWO right, working with a DL'ed trial version of a software and im having trouble finding making a mix that just seems right for the era, so i thought, whats wrong with taking a few tracks from the MCO cd that i have laying around, and making some cuts off of it, mix in some riffs and chords and stuff, ya know rekindle old feelings if anything.
Well, none of the programs i have read the media files that they have for the music, some .afc file or somtin like that, any help there would be grateful, but i then proceeded to get side tracked and this is what i found.
correct me if im wrong, but didn't we "recieve" Hazzard Hallow, and the industrial tracks from a patch? if you follow me on this, pop in your old cd and go exploring if you have not done so already. for the track files are pre-installed, off the disc.
also, if you dig long enough, youll notice some files in thier for snow, tire blowouts COPS! among some other stuff that you might find intresting, things that if i remember correctly, were never used within the game.
I am beginning to thing that the whole, "not enough shelf sales to keep the game profitable" is a crock. it was burnt up. out of resorces. i really don't believe they had anybody at all working full time on updates and the creation of new cars and tracks and stuff, it was already done, kinda makes sense too.
why spend thousands, paying a team of X amount of ppl to continue research, programming, artwork, Ect. when you can slip the guy who runs and gets coffee every morning 20 bux to hit a key on the keyboard and allow a series of files already installed on your computer unknowingly, to be used for online play.
I for one, don't think that they intended it to be such a big hit of the get go, and designed it to be an off line thing, and then some beligerent fool, said, hey lets take it online. rather then starting over, they looked at an easy way to make profit for 2 years, and then jump to something new....say SIMS.... before everybody loses intreast. would have been a good plan......IF ANYBODY WOULD HAVE LOST INTREAST!!!!!!! *&%$&^&*s. lol. i can hear the sound of 100 MCO cd's being flung into the drives now. just some food for thought. look me up in the chat room if you feel like talkin bout it, ill be there for a bit
