Yup its true, the two series are finally getting back together. I've been waiting for this moment ever since they first split up back in the 90s. It's been a downfall for both series ever since, but more so with champcar, so it'll be rly interesting to see what they can do by joining forces. It kinda sounds to me more like champcar gave in to irl rather than finally agreed upon a decision but who knows, hopefully we'll see some of the good ol' CART tracks back in the schedule soon. I'm sure they'll combine events from each series but I dont know if they will this year seeing as they were not totally planning on this happening now. They'll prolly just stick with the original 2008 irl schedule and figure out something new for 09. It would be great if I didnt have wait another year to go to road america or toronto tho. I rly hope they'll get some more manufacturers into the mix too. It hasn't been exactly so exciting seeing the same group of identical hondas or fords going around the track. I miss the old CART days when we had mercedes, toyota, ford, honda...the turbo hondas were the best :D
