Yup, there will be a way to drive as a cop.

It haven´t been discussed yet on how its going to be.
Personally,
I think it would be nice to have two pursuit games:
A coopers and robbers mode, (classic run for your life)

And a standard race on which the patrol car has always to pursuit the race leader

But it´s too early to say anything for sure :)

I just thought of an idea for the cops and robbers.

it will be a money type race. one racer or a group of racers wager X amount of money (against other players) that they can get away from the cops with his hot rod. The guy or guys their betting against ARE THE COP CARS!

in order to win the hot rodder or rodders must be a on a 1/2 - 1/4 break away to win, or rundown the timer or cross a finish line

The cops have to box him in and trap him or completely wreck the hot rodder's car in order for them to win and they split the wager amongst themselves equally. The hot rodder gets a penalty for losing.

Sounds like the "Hide and Seek" game we used to play on Auvergene in PU. One driver was the runner, getting a head start. (about 15 secs) and the rest would have to find and hit them. After 3 hits in 30 secs, the "hitter" would esc, and end the game, and become the next "runner".:fight: The main trick was not finishing the race! I think that's one reason we stopped playing it, some newb would crash the fun by racing to the finish line, thus killing the game. That, and lag. :D

I like the "moonshine" run idea where you start your cop chase with a full trunk of moonshine - as you take hits and break bottles your profit margin dwindles. If you make it through the course then whatever bottles are left unbroken will be turned into big mwo cash and your damages are paid for.
If the cop can cause you to break all your bottles, you don't get any cash and you buy your own repairs, the cop earns big fat donut bonus bucks. If the cop actually catches you, he gets your car too.
I'm sure there could be a lot of ways to score points and level up with this idea so if anyone wants to embellish on it feel free. With rat rods playing a big part in the game, moonshine runs seem to me like a natural!

Beautiful teaser-shot! A great sight after having been without a pc for a short spell since my PSU finally gave up after 3 years daily service. Now it's replaced by a new model and now I'm ready for some races/chases :D
