I love Gran Torinos! Nice cars! Yours looks great!
Hutch: [after seeing the Grand Torino] Whoa! Your stock just went up in my book, my friend. Pop the hood, let me see what you got under...
Starsky: Hey! Hotshot! What do you think you're doing? This is a Ford Grand Torino. It's not some crappy camper slash apartment. There are rules.
Hutch: Okay, okay.
Starsky: You do not bang on the hood. You never under any circumstances drive. And you will certainly not put your coffee mug on the roof of the car. In fact, no coffee in the car whatsoever. Coffee goes on the ground, you get in the car, we go.

We did one up 5 years ago, 1 of 100 sent to Canada.. It's a real bugger to find parts, though.. 460 automatic with a 3.25 POSI.

Thanks for the compliments. Factory 351C Cobrajet, 4spd car. Only major options are the power brakes and the AM radio (LOL).
Was originally just pulling the engine to install a new oil pump and put a new clutch in it. I always wanted a full sized Revell model. It's true kids, the toys do get bigger.

I was for a year. They are still bascially a 62-65 club. I found an online group that centers on the 72-79 full frame intermediates.

Gotcha. I kinda have to disagree with the 62-65 thing (go to the nats, its amazing, lots of 1969-1973 material), but either way specialists groups are needed.

I didn't mean to the point of being disclusionary. I actually found their newsletters to be well published. Just not enough tech info on the full frame cars for this project.

I agree with you 100%, the articles are great, but they do need to be more variety aimed. Having a 63 meteor can be a problem because they feature the fairlanes a lot, and all the work for those, but the meteor just doesnt get as much attention/features.

Since you ask. I'm soon ready to paint the rear of the floor and mate the body back to the frame.
It took a bit time to strip the wheel wells down to bare metal and re-caulk everything. We had to relocate the rear support beam forward to the back of the rocker. No way I thought that would be stable but low and behold it is, and the car sits even higher now. I'm 5' 8" and the rear marker lamp is at shoulder height now.
Decided to burn off a couple of vacation days next week to stretch out a weekend. If it's not painted by then it should be all but painted.

"The eagle has landed," body and frame are now one again. I had to use a spare rear because I'm still working on the one for the car and I threw the old steering linkage back on. It's infinitely more difficult to get the front wheels to cooperate once you add some weight.
I seem to have some issues in posting the actual photos.
