They are just a nostalgic recreation of the icons that were on the original MCO website.

Im the man to answer that question..

The red haired girl on the left side of the screen is the same girl from the old mco webpage, but slightly older looking now.

The guy wearing jeans is Jack Wade from "The Head Hunter" (the game was originally released on Dreamcast and later ported to Ps2),
He is also slightly older than the character from the game.

The next character is a blond asiatic girl, i kinda made it as a joke, a friend changed her hair to blond.
And she told me her hair was looking terrible, so as any good samaritan i tought i had to draw it somewhere it could last for a long time.

The next guy, i decided to add just to get a bit of variety (since we are supposed to be in motor world) That one i just made it up, as i said, just something to add variety, nothing really special.

The guy on the yellow hoody, he is something!

He´s based on Charles Bronson :D

I decided to make the characters look a bit older than the originals, mainly because the kids that used to play mco aren´t kids anymore.
Might not be a good idea but i kinda like it.

Now about having them in-game, the chars still have to be planned, if there will be customization or not.
It still have to be discussed but that´s nothing to worry about.
I have to worry about the city right now, nobody like´s homeless characters ;)

They reminded me of MCO a lot when I see the new set up, I like it. Oh and thanks for the long stroy to clear all that up lol.
