Conan MMO

So I was playing WoW with my brother earlier today and he mentioned the new Conan game and said it looked really awesome. Anyone know anything about it? It looks awesome but I'll definitely have to get at least another gig of ram and a new graphics card to run it.
Anyone know what it'll cost or heard anything else about it? Personally I don't really trust developer's sites since a good site can make any POS game look awesome. If it actually turns out to be awesome I'll be selling my WoW account for sure. Anyone interested in a 70 Tauren Warrior and a 70 Dwarf Hunter on 1 account? :D

There are tons of message boards there for virtually every major MMO that has been released or is in development.

There's a lot of BS to wade through on that site, but a lot of posts are informative and educational. Also, Age of Conan is still under it's Non-disclosure agreement and will remain so until Open Beta which begins on May 1st.

I'll be playing it. I will probably upgrade my system too, I need to double my 1gb ram and most likely a new video card too. My nephew is on the beta, says the combat system is really different, dont expect a monkey turn based style system. You will need to select directional hits based on highlighted weak areas on target. Healers will need to be in the action more rather than sitting back and key pushing. Healing is cone directional or AoE.

Above is well known, as Shadow says, read forums. Looks very interesting. I put down $10 for the $90 collectors edition (OUCH!).

We'll be there with enough already to form a guild, progressing to build our city which wont happen till later levels. If interested, I'll let you know which server we will be on.

I would definitely be interested in joining your guild once the game comes out and I have it. My brother would probably be interested too but I'll warn you ahead of time he can be a little demanding when it comes to team work and PVP. In WoW he is notorious on at least the Korgath server and in a few forums. That's more b/c he is overly honest and will tell anyone no matter who they are they suck if they really do suck. It makes for some funny times when we raid with some of the supposedly "best" guilds and he tells someone they suck.
Thanks for the link too. Last night I was checking out the Ranger and Bear Shaman classes and both seemed pretty interesting. I play a Hunter on WoW and my bro plays a druid so naturally we were interested in those two lol.

So I got my early access key code yesterday, (war mammoth FTW!) registered online and started downloading the client software this morning. It wont be patched till the 14th and based on the download times, I wont be done by then :( . No worries though, cant start playing till the 17th which will be a madhouse.

Anyone else dowloaded yet?

Just played the open beta. Graphics are GREAT! Character creation is can be simple or very detailed - player's choice. Combat is some button mashing, some skill - doesn't take long to get used to the system. Quests are fairly straight-forward, and the mini-map points the way toward quest objectives.

Only got to play 10 levels or so, but the gameplay was smooth.

Make sure you have all of your drivers updated. The game requires a pretty solid and up-to-date machine to run. Any machine over two years old may have problems.

Yup, I think I'm in that boat. My machine is nearly 3.5 years old. P4 2.8ghz, Going to go buy another 1gb ram this weekend for 2 total. DDR memory is more expensive now than DDR2. I will probably have to replace my Radion 9600 too but will wait till I see first.

I have a couple friends in open beta and my nephew is in closed beta, he showed it to me last weekend, looks great.

After 24 hours of dowloading the early-access client, I am only at 50% :mad:

I have 2 gigs of extra Samsung PC3200 DDR memory that I don't need just sitting in my room. And I cannot wait for this game to come out. This will be the perfect game to play in waiting for MWO to come out. Any MMO car games out there that are any good guys?

Hey, Been Playing Conan, great game, I wouldnt call it ground breaking but its really good. I had to add 1gb more ram. Bought a new Nvidia video card and I can run it but had to dummy down some graphics. The game is a system hog!

I started playing on the early access since the 17th. only level 15 Bear Shaman so far.

Should anyone want to play with us, we are on the Derketo PvE server, Ghosts of Xapur guild. I am Yrehcra, /tell me or guild leader Tekkor or Prizren. We are a mature guild with a core group of guys that have been playing together for over 4 years. Heres the guild web site:
