I was wondering if someone would be as kind as to post a "HOW TO" in edditing the default skin. I think it would be quite usefull to some of us less seasoned skinners :D<------
Thank you.

1st, I use gimp for the photoshop. use open new file to import the template which is in your unleaded game folder. There you will find the template and this is also where you put your new skin.Once you have the template opened in Gimp you can edit by adding paint to the car. Ive had better luck using the brush instead of the bucket. I hand drew my flames cause thats all I know for now. :p
When your done painting save the file as skin.png ( in my case it was saved in my Pictures ) I simply clicked and dragged my saved skin file into the MWO folder I stated above. When asked you replace and remove the file that has the same skin name. Then play the game, it should be there.Thats about all I know, hope it helps. ;)

My problem is when I open up the file in gimp, I try to use the brush..or anything and it doesnt edit the picture. Then I try it again and I pic the color of black and it comes out on the image red?

you have to copy the carbody set as hardlight and reduce the opacity thats what i did and i use gimp.

I use Paint Shop Pro, and I just edit the decal layer, then delete the car body layer and save as Skin.png Not sure if Gimp shows layers.
