hey Zeus, there's supposed to be a way to set up win7 as a dual boot setup or to run XP in a virtual drive partition. I'm gonna try and set it up when I get a chance and see how it works

Yeah my buddy was telling me about that. Run things in a "shell" he called it.He said it was simple.
I upgraded as well. From 8600GT to 9600GSO (Basically 9800GT)
Just did a minor upgrade as well, from an old NEC AccuSync 70 17" CRT to a nice new Acer P205H 20" wide screen LCD. Still using the crt as a secondary, but beside the Acer, I can see how fuzzy the old one is. Wonder I didn't go blind. :D

Certain Windows 7 version have an XP mode that allows you to run old office applications that otherwise wouldn't run natively, no directx support.
Sure, you can dual boot Windows 7 and XP too, but I haven't really seen the need to do that. So far, it's been running even 15 year old games just fine and I think Windows 7 supports my hardware a little better than XP.

I've only found 1 game that didnt work with win 7 or xp mode in win 7. Something with CORA3 didnt let it run on xp pro x64 either.
For compatibility, windows 7 is far better than xp, especially with hardware. with 64 bit xp, sometimes it was impossible to find drivers so my mic wasnt even usable until i got win 7. now it autoinstalls any drivers it needs.
