So I was watching the CWS and got thinkin about tearing down old stuff. They are getting rid of America's history. Rosenblatt's gone. Route 66 is gone. Riverside's gone. They wanted to run a freeway through Boston, that got defeated. It's just stupid. Yes you can get pictures and videos, but it's wiping out history.
When will it all end? I dread to think. I read about plans to move the Red Sox and tear down Fenway. Thankfully it was a spoof topic, but the comments showed people (at least in Boston) took it seriously.
And that worries me. Yes, cite progress and money all you want. But if Chevy or Ford factories were torn down tomorow to make way for a parking lot, there'd be a riot.
