Not trying to be an alarmist but recently I got curious if there were any king of maps that showed a mean temperature over a span of years. What I found on this NASA site was, well.....disturbing to say the least. Click show plot on the web page.

Take a look at how "snow and ice cover %" and solar rad at ground are dropping, while mean temperatures are going up. Cloud cover is also rising. Precipitation curve is an example of how looking at only the last 20 years would give you the idea that it's going up very steeply, but over 120 years, not that much. I would have liked to see sea water temperatures over the last 100 years though..
