he grew up in backwoods northern Michigan, thats where he learned to use a rifle. where I grew up, gun control meant you hit what you were aiming at. call me a redneck if you will. the thing I admired most about him was the fact that even though he lived in Hollywood, he was married to the same woman for that long. when his wife reminded him that he had promised that he would only do theatre and television; he said he'd try doing a movie once and see how it worked out...:(

I liked him, I respect the NRA, I will buy a gun as soon as I have my money.. But there's one thing I've always had a problem with, his bad timing on NRA seminars.. Like after Columbine.. Anyway, he will be missed.. "From my cold, dead hands"..

He was a hero of mine. In todays world there are very few of them left. He was a great actor. I still like watching Planet of the Apes and Ben Hur just to name a few of his movies. He will be missed.

Keep in mind that he had to affirm the second amendment as crooked politicians were using events such as those to try and violate our constitutional rights.

But if you're waiting to get that gun you want, get it now. Pretty soon you might not have the chance.

As long as someone is remembered, they never truly die. Charlton Heston will live on for a good long time.
