if I read that right, aren't you basically controlling a race car that's already run the race? someone correct me if I'm wrong, please. it IS an interesting concept, none-the-less...
Where do I put the quarters? :p

No, the race track and the cars are modelled just hours before the race and then the cars get GPS trackers or some such to allow car positions to be transmitted online to gamers via a web browser during the race it seems. It's more like interactive television with the viewers watching the live race from within the race or taking part in the race. I don't know how collisions are handled - maybe you just bounce off of the real cars or maybe they'll try to sync the action somehow after the crash. This could be a boost to something like WRC Rally that cannot generally provide proper live TV currently.. yea, and it's cool too. And the website says it can support variety of sports, like the olympics in 2012.
I thought they already had this last year, but maybe it was just a test or work in progress..

ok...so it's interactive but it's not totally interactive (in the fact that you don't really make the car react to the environment but you get to react to the cars reaction to the environment)...I mean no disrespect Chaul, I'm just tryin' to figger this out (I'm not normally this stupid, but sometimes I need to have things broken down a lot before I can make sense of them, that's all...)
:-/ :)
